About Our Founder
A Central New Jersey moving company built on service, integrity, and family tradition.
Assured Logistics Group is a Central New Jersey moving and logistics company founded in 2021 by Jay McKever, a longtime resident who proudly calls Piscataway home for nearly 40 years. The company was built with a simple mission: to provide families and businesses with honest, reliable, and professional moving services throughout Central New Jersey.
Moving and logistics have been part of Jay’s family story for generations. His grandfather worked in the transportation industry with Allied Van Lines and Burlington Industries, supporting national logistics networks responsible for moving goods and household belongings across the country.
Jay’s father later worked for Benton & Holden Moving Company in the early 1980s, where Jay was first introduced to the moving profession and gained an early appreciation for the responsibility involved in helping families transition into new homes.
His grandmother also worked in the moving industry with a local Central New Jersey moving company between 1990 and 1991. At a time when very few women worked in the industry, she drove trucks, moved furniture, and helped some of the same families we support today set up their homes after a move. Her strong work ethic, dedication to service, and care for customers left a lasting impression on the family.

1970s–1980s
Jay’s grandfather works in the transportation industry with Allied Van Lines and Burlington Industries, supporting national logistics and household moving networks.
Early 1980s
Jay’s father works for Benton & Holden Moving Company, introducing Jay to the moving industry at a young age.
1990–1991
Jay’s grandmother works for a local Central New Jersey moving company, driving trucks, moving furniture, and helping customers set up their homes after a move.
2021
Assured Logistics Group is founded by Jay McKever to serve families and businesses throughout Central New Jersey.
Today
Assured Logistics Group proudly provides professional moving services for customers across Piscataway, New Brunswick, Edison, Princeton, and surrounding Central New Jersey communities.

The Meaning Behind the Name “Assured”
The name Assured reflects the experience the company strives to give every customer — confidence, trust, and peace of mind during an important moment in their lives.
For Jay, the name also carries a deeply personal meaning. It was inspired in part by his grandmother’s favorite hymn, Blessed Assurance, a beloved Christian gospel hymn written by Fanny Crosby.
Jay’s grandmother, an ordained minister and a woman of deep faith, often expressed gratitude for life’s blessings, even during the toughest of times, through praise, worship, and song. The message of assurance, faith, and trust reflected in that hymn helped shape the spirit behind the company’s name.
When the time came to launch the business, the idea of assurance — knowing the job will get done, and done the right way — perfectly captured both the experience Jay wanted customers to have and the values that had shaped his family for generations.
Today, that same idea continues to guide Assured Logistics Group: providing customers with the assurance that their move will be handled with professionalism, care, and integrity.
Education and Professional Experience
Jay pursued higher education across several respected New Jersey institutions, including Middlesex County College, Union County College, Rutgers University, Centenary University, and Fairleigh Dickinson University.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Centenary University in Hackettstown, New Jersey, and later completed his MBA at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, New Jersey.
Before founding Assured Logistics Group, Jay built a professional 30-year career spanning technology sales, pharmaceutical development operations, and healthcare consulting. Through this work he developed strong expertise in customer service, operational leadership, logistics coordination, and business strategy.
The Founding of Assured Logistics Group
The idea for Assured Logistics Group was born during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, when Jay saw many families across Central New Jersey struggling to find moving companies that combined professionalism, transparency, reliability, and genuine care for customers.
Inspired by both his professional background and his faith-driven desire to serve others, Jay founded Assured Logistics Group as a family-owned and operated company built on trust, integrity, and service to the community.
One of Jay’s favorite scriptures reflects the values that guide both his family life and the company he founded:

From Experience to Execution
Over time, that hands-on experience led to a clear realization:
While many moving companies worked hard, the customer experience was often inconsistent.

Today, as a father of five and husband of 26 years to his high-school sweetheart Tiffany, Jay remains actively involved in leading the Assured team and ensuring every move reflects the company’s core values of:
