Assured Logistics Group is a Central New Jersey moving and logistics company founded in 2021 by Jay McKever, a longtime resident who proudly calls Piscataway home for nearly 40 years. The company was built with a simple mission: to provide families and businesses with honest, reliable, and professional moving services throughout Central New Jersey.
Moving and logistics have been part of Jay’s family story for generations. His grandfather worked in transportation with Allied Van Lines and Burlington Industries, while his grandmother worked for a local Central New Jersey moving company from 1990–1991, where she drove trucks, moved furniture, and helped customers set up their homes after a move. Jay was later introduced to the industry through his father, who worked for Benton & Holden Moving Company in the early 1980s.
Jay holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Centenary University and an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Before founding Assured Logistics Group, he built a 30-year career in Tech sales, pharmaceutical development operations, and healthcare consulting, developing deep expertise in logistics, operations, and customer service.
Today, Jay leads Assured Logistics Group with a focus on professionalism, careful handling, clear communication, and dependable service for customers across Central New Jersey.

1970s–1980s
Jay’s grandfather works in the transportation industry with Allied Van Lines and Burlington Industries, supporting national logistics and household moving networks.
Early 1980s
Jay’s father works for Benton & Holden Moving Company, introducing Jay to the moving industry at a young age.
1990–1991
Jay’s grandmother works for a local Central New Jersey moving company, driving trucks, moving furniture, and helping customers set up their homes after a move.

The Story Behind Assured Logistics Group
Assured Logistics Group was founded in 2021 by Jay McKever, a longtime Central New Jersey resident who has proudly called Piscataway home for nearly 40 years. With deep roots in the community and a strong commitment to serving others, Jay built Assured Logistics Group to provide families and businesses with honest, reliable, and professional moving services throughout Central New Jersey.
Moving and logistics have been part of Jay’s family story for multiple generations. His grandfather worked in the transportation industry with Allied Van Lines and Burlington Industries, supporting logistics networks responsible for transporting goods and household belongings across the country.
His grandmother also worked in the moving industry with a local Central New Jersey moving company between 1990 and 1991. At a time when very few women worked in the industry, she drove trucks, helped move furniture, and assisted customers with setting up their homes after a move. Her strong work ethic and dedication to helping customers left a lasting impression on the family.
Jay was later introduced to the industry firsthand in the early 1980s when his father worked for Benton & Holden Moving Company. Watching the care and professionalism required to move families’ belongings safely gave Jay an early appreciation for the service and responsibility involved in the moving profession.
Jay later pursued higher education across several respected New Jersey institutions, attending Middlesex County College, Union County College, Rutgers University, Centenary University, and Fairleigh Dickinson University. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Centenary University in Hackettstown, New Jersey, and later completed his MBA at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, New Jersey.
Before launching Assured Logistics Group, Jay built a professional 30-year career spanning tech sales, pharmaceutical development operations, and healthcare consulting, where he developed strong expertise in customer service, operational leadership, logistics coordination, and business strategy.
The idea for Assured Logistics Group was born during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, when Jay saw many families across Central New Jersey struggling to find moving companies that combined professionalism, transparency, reliability, and genuine care for customers. Inspired by his faith and a calling to serve others, he founded Assured Logistics Group as a family-owned and operated company built on trust, integrity, and service to the community.
One of Jay’s favorite scriptures, Joshua 24:15 (KJV), reflects the values that guide both his family life and the company he founded:

In many ways, Assured Logistics Group represents the continuation of a family tradition. For multiple generations, Jay’s family helped people transition into new homes and new chapters of life throughout Central New Jersey. Today, as a father of five and husband of 26 years to his high-school sweetheart Tiffany, Jay remains actively involved in overseeing operations and leading the Assured team to ensure every move reflects the company’s core values of professionalism, careful handling, clear communication, and dependable service. Under his leadership, Assured Logistics Group proudly serves customers throughout Piscataway, New Brunswick, Edison, Princeton, and communities across Central New Jersey.
